There’s a whole new raft of iPods out there, smaller, prettier, and sharper sounding than ever. On the other hand, there’s a small, nascent backlash out there against iPods, and Apple products in general. Recently, for the first time, Sony Walkman devices outsold iPods in Japan, and internet chatter against Apple seems to be at an all-time high. And then there’s  http://anythingbutipod.com/, which purports to be a rallying point for the anti-iPod crowd.

Had enough of a rat race that no self-respecting rat would even consider running in? Sounds like you need a nice, long rest – or a stint working at home!
Telecommuting is all the rage today – for good reason. Why shlep when you can do the same work at home, saving yourself long hours on the road and keeping fuel …

Geeking from Afar

Being a newzgeek can be rough; everybody thinks I know everything there is to know about what is wrong with their PC. Well, they’re right: I DO know everything there is to know about the subject. The problem is trying to figure out exactly what needs fizing. If I had a shekel for every phone call I get, where somebody tells me “I have this thing on my screen – how do I get rid of it?” What thing? Where on the screen? Which program are they using? It takes …
