Regardless of what your mother said, we all believe we have to be doing a thing everybody else is doing. Moms don’t really get peer pressure; when she calls you out on something and you tell her that “everybody’s” doing it, she, of course, throws this snappy comeback at you: “And if everybody jumps off the top of building, should you do that too?” Gotcha!
Regardless, though, “everybody’s doing it” is hard for many of us to argue with. If everybody’s involved in something, there must be something to it! Of ...

Hard as it is to believe, the kids are home – again! Of course, this time around they’re only around for two weeks, not two months. But still – the fiscal damage could still be significant, especially now during the holidays, and during school vacations. As parents know – all it takes is one trip to the mall!
But here’s a way you can protect yourself; teach your kids about “working for a paycheck,” a basic concept that it wouldn’t hurt kids of any age to learn about! Bottom line – ...

Digg it. Blog it. Youtube it. If you’re the type that has to know what’s going on today, right now, this minute – you have a problem. Just how are you supposed to keep up with what’s going on? Of course, you could just shut off the stupid computer, draw the shades, and curl up with a good book and a cup of tea. I’ll admit it sounds tempting! But such is life today; the action is online, and chances are something is happening somewhere right now that ...

Sure, our kids’ friends may have occasional lapses in judgment, dragging our children into trouble with them, but it’s usually nothing ...
